음악은 저에게 현실에서 벗어날 수 있는 하나의 통로였습니다.
힘든 순간마다 노래를 부르면 마음이 가벼워졌고, 그 시간만큼은 온전히 저로서 숨 쉴 수 있었습니다.
그래서 지금도 저는 음악을 하고 있습니다.
노래하는 순간, 가장 저답고 자유로워지기 때문입니다.
더 깊은 표현을 찾고 싶어 프랑스로 향했고, 그곳에서 저는 ‘잘 부르는 법’을 넘어 음악을 통해 감정과 삶을 전달하는 방식을 배웠습니다. 말하듯 자연스럽게 흐르면서도 절제된 감정을 담는 프랑스 음악의 방식은 저의 음악을 완전히 바꾸어 놓았습니다.
그래서 저는 단순히 음악을 들려드리는 것이 아니라, 머무르고 싶은 하나의 시간을 만들고 싶습니다. 바쁜 일상에서 잠시 벗어나 숨을 고르고, 말로 다 표현되지 않는 감정을 조용히 위로받을 수 있는 시간. 한 곡의 노래가 아니라 작은 여행처럼 감정이 이동하고, 다른 세계를 다녀온 듯한 여운을 남기는 경험을 전하고 싶습니다.
